On 6 May 2014, the Peterborough & District Branch of
the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society were delighted
to present a RSCDS Branch Award to Maimie Clarkson on
her retirement from teaching Scottish Country Dancing.
Maimie has been a leading light in the life of
Peterborough & District Branch ever since its beginnings
in the early 1980s and has contributed greatly to the
welcoming and friendly atmosphere of the ongoing
Scottish Country Dancing classes in Peterborough. She
has been teacher, dancer, Branch Chairman, committee
member, and much more over the years. Maimie
continues to encourage others to take part in an activity
which offers fun, friendship and fitness.
