ST ANDREW'S JIG (J4x32)  Jenny Bradley  Nottingham 10.30  1- 4 1s+2s & 3s+4s circle to the left, finishing with 1s & 3s facing down, 2s & 4s facing up, all with nearer hands joined  5- 8 All set, 1s & 4s make arches, 2s & 3s dance under the arches to the ends of the set  9-16 1L+4L & 1M+4M take nearer hands and dance across the set with the men making an arch and ladies dancing under, cast around ‘corner’ and into centre to face ‘corner’, all set 17-24 1s & 4s turn ‘corners’ RH, retain hold and 1s+4s give LH to balance in line, 1s+4s ½ LH across, 1s+4s give RH to opposite ‘corner’, all balance in line 25-32 1s & 4s turn ‘corners’ RH, 1s+4s LH across to finish 2 4 1 3, all set
The Nottingham 10.30 book was published by Nottingham RSCDS in 1989 to celebrate their 30 th  anniversary. The tune for this dance is called ‘The European’, and recorded on Recorded Highlights Volume 1 by Jim Lindsay & his Band.
