The Rannoch Sheets are a collection of six dances, three by Roger Bestwick, two by Peter Knight and one by
Peter Lockwood.
Roger Bestwick was ‘of Manchester’ at the time of publication (pre 1996) and Rannoch (Raineach meaning ‘the
Fern’ in Gaelic) is an area of the Scottish Highlands between the A9 road, to the east, and the A82, to the west.
The area is crossed from south to north by the West Highland railway line.
